Dutch singer/songwriter Nina June immerses a sprawling, glacial landscape of cinematic pop on ‘When We Fall’, this is equally transferred to the glowing visuals, which premiere below.

The third in a series of tracks to fall under the ‘BON VOYAGE’ banner, a musical project spawned from an interest to write songs about the inherent loneliness that troubles our generation. The search for purpose and connection lingers throughout the piece, detailed by the crippling acknowledgement that relationships are fickle animals, we often fall to our knees but it’s our fight to get back up and on our feet that reveals our character the most.

Stark but driven by emotive storytelling, the piano ballad brings forth ideas of London Grammar synced to a plaintive orchestra of Agnes Obel, each swell in movement is purposefully delivered and thoroughly felt. Twinning both classical organic elements to modern electronic production, it’s fairly easy to understand why June has already picked up a lot of support from leading radio stations such as Radio 2 and 3FM.
